SAW

Dalle Tactile Ondes Acoustiques

Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) technology is one of the most resistant technology. When the panel is touched, a portion of the wave is absorbed giving the position of the touch event and sends this information to the controller for processing. SAW technology offers the best optical performance, durability, stability, gloved hand input and the most options for safety against breakage. Tempered SAW is also less expensive than other “anti-vandal” technologies such as Infrared and Projected Capacitive. Our surface acoustic wave technology (patented) uses beveled corners on the glass touchscreen to lower the height profile of the transducers. The result is a significantly thinner touchscreen that allows slimmer bezel design and also reduces danger of transducer breakage during the integration process.
